The Technology

How PlantPulse Works

PlantPulse uses Wi-Fi enabled IoT sensors to collect real-time plant data and deliver it to any smartphone browser. The technology is designed to be affordable, accessible, and easy to deploy.

ESP32 Microcontroller

Low-cost, Wi-Fi enabled microcontroller handles sensor collection and data transmission.

Mobile-First Interface

Designed for smartphone access with no app download required.

Affordable & Scalable

Built with low-cost components for broad deployment across schools and communities.

Existing Infrastructure

Deploys on standard Wi-Fi networks already present in schools and facilities.

The Process

From Sensor to Screen

A straightforward data pipeline from physical environment to smartphone screen.

01

Sensor Collection

ESP32 microcontrollers with attached probes collect soil moisture, ambient light, and temperature data at regular intervals.

02

Wi-Fi Transmission

Data is transmitted securely over standard Wi-Fi networks already present in schools and partner facilities.

03

Secure Server Storage

Environmental readings are stored on a secure server, maintaining historical records for analysis and comparison.

04

Smartphone Dashboard

Users access a mobile-friendly web dashboard to view real-time and historical data from any device with a browser.
